 IGEP Closing Conference
'The Closing Conference of IGEP was held on May, 10-11 2010 at İstanbul. Füsun Çiçekoğlu,Sector Manager from the Delegation of the European Union to Turkey; Muhsin Altun, Head of Central Finance and Contracts Unit; Hüseyin Çelik, Deputy Chairman of the Justice and Development Party (AKP) and the representatives of beneficiary provinces and senior government officials have attended the Conference. At the Conference, the outcomes of IGEP were shared with stakeholders and the sustainability of the project was discussed.

Round Table Meetings
The round table meeting organized in İzmir on April 7th, 2010 was carried out with the participation of the beneficiaries, the official institutions and agencies, national and international funding organizations and the Technical Assistance Team, 80 people in all. The meeting was designed to provide information about the funding organizations, about the funding opportunities especially for municipalities while the beneficiaries had the opportunity to give information on the projects developed within the scope of İGEP.

İstanbul 3rd Local Event: 'Best Practices for Children Meeting'
Sultanbeyli Child and Youth Center’s 3rd Local Event “Best Practices for Children Meeting” held in Istanbul on April 14, 2010. Public Institutions and NGOs focusing on child rehabilitation projects gathered in the event which took place at Sultanbeyli Culture Center. Sultanbeyli Districty Governor Mehmet Ceylan, Sultanbeyli Mayor Hüseyin Keskin, İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality’s Head of Health and Social Services Department Muzaffer Saraç, IGEP Social Measures Component Key Expert Hans Maeth and representatives from NGOs participated in the event.

“The future is in the skies”: Getting to know sportive aviation
The third local event of Ankara in the scope of the Project took place on April 16th, 2010 at Gölbaşı Mogan Park. The event was a “Kite Festival” and aimed to inform the children about sportive aviation.
